This series of work features original color pencil drawings of flowers that were hand drawn from life. The illustrations are then digitally composited against geometric patterns inspired from Islamic art and architecture. Traditionally, these designs use repeating polygons and echo the forms of plants and animals. These patterns also suggest infinity because they seem to extend beyond the borders of the material itself. The contrast between the geometric patterns and the animals and plants seems to alludes to the co-existence of the infinite and the finite in a rich, aesthetically pleasing way.

I was inspired to create this series from one of my visits to Pakistan. The series of prints feature children of Pakistan in their every day lives, some from Murree, the foothills of Himalayas Mountains, while others are from my home-town of Rawalpindi. Each includes original photographs and hand-drawn illustration.
